The new valves were manufactured using additive manufacturing and are equipped with IMI's patented DRAG technology. To gradually reduce the inlet pressure, the multi-stage design with multiple ports directs the fluid along a winding path with high resistance. This approach limits the fluid velocity in the trim and eliminates the risk of vibration, noise, and erosion. Additionally, the pressure compensation valves are equipped with IMI SC/V actuators, which feature a special piston design for smooth and precise operation, as well as the high-performance and accurate SHP (Smart High Performance) digital pneumatic positioner.
